Welcome to The Conrad Botzum Farmstead.
Right up in the banner at the top of this page it says, ‘Come back to the country!’ and we really mean it. Can you believe it? We have 25 acres of beautiful farmscape, and we’re only 15 minutes from downtown Akron, and 40 minutes from downtown Cleveland. If you want to host an event…wedding, reception, reunion, birthday party, corporate meeting…and you’ve had enough of the country club/banquet hall scene, The Botzum Farmstead is the place for you. Please check out our Photos page and take a walk around the Farmstead. In 2013 we hosted 42 wedding/receptions and several other events. We are looking forward to a very exciting, and busy, 2014! And we’re having so much fun. Join us!
The Botzum Farmstead seeks to be a very family friendly facility, so our website, especially the things we communicate to you will have a ‘down home’ feel. We want our facility to be warm and inviting and we hope the same for the website.
Our Summer Concert Series ‘Music at the Farmstead’ got so popular that it moved to a larger venue for a larger audiance…Cuyahoga Valley National Park. You can read more information on our Events page.
The ‘permanent’ toilet facilities we constructed in 2006 are a big hit. The handicapped accessible toilets and lavs are a welcome addition to the farmstead. There are two identical rooms each with a vanity, electric lights:), hot and cold running water in the lavs, flush toilets, mirrors made out of old window sashes and old barn wood ceilings. You have to see them to appreciate. We know all of our brides and guests do!
Check back with us often and please drop us an email, through the website, with questions or comments.

A 2002 view of the Botzum Farmstead from the air. The 1898 Bank Barn and Canopy Covered Deck is to the right with the 1885 Sweitzer Barn just right of the center. Our circa 1890 Machine Shed is below the barns. To the left of center is the ‘turn-of-the-century’ milk house. Running diagonally across the top are the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad tracks. The scenic North Meadow is at the bottom with the South Meadow behind the Barns.
Beautiful autumn leaves behind the 1898 Bank Barn.
